PLAYWRIGHT DENIS WOYCHUK

Denis Woychuk is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where he taught for several years. He is the founder and principal owner of KGB Bar and the Kraine Theater in the East Village, an icon of arts and culture in NYC for many years.

This is actually his second rock musical; the first was "The Damned" (2001), co-authored with William Electric Black with music by Thomas Simon, presented at The Red Room Theater. His other writings include the memoir, "Joseph McCarthy Ruined My Father's Life" (in "American Monsters," edited by Jack Newfield and Mark Jacobson, Thunder's Mouth Press, NYC 2004), "The Other Side of the Wall," a philosophical children's book about a hippopotamus and a mouse who fall in love, and its sequel, "Pirates!"
